Privacy Notice

Last updated 10 July 2026

Draft, pending review by counsel. This describes exactly what the software does today. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.

The short version

Cut It measures the quality of your trading decisions. To do that it stores your simulator rounds and — only if you explicitly choose to upload them — your own closed trades.

We never store your position size, your dollar profit and loss, or your account value.Your account size never leaves your browser. We don't need it, so we don't take it.

Who we are

Cut It is operated from Israel. For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights below, contact aviv.m.green@gmail.com.

What we collect

Your account

When you sign in with Google we receive and store your email address, name, and avatar URL.

Your decisions in the app

For each simulator round: your score, grade, whether you honored your stop, how many candles you hesitated, the conviction you declared before the round, how long you froze once price crossed your line, how quickly you re-entered, and whether the tilt warning was shown and heeded.

Your real trades — only if you choose to upload them

Your trade file is read in your browser. Nothing is sent to us unless you press "Save to my engine". If you do, we store, per closed trade:

  • ticker symbol
  • entry price, exit price, and your stop price (if your export includes one)
  • entry and exit times
  • direction (long or short)
  • whether you honored your own stop
We never collect
  • Position size or share quantity
  • Dollar profit and loss
  • Account balance or account value
  • Broker credentials, account numbers, or passwords to any other service

Technical

Vercel Analytics records anonymous page views. Lemon Squeezy loads an affiliate script to attribute referrals. Standard server logs record IP address and request metadata.

Why we collect it

  • To run your account and keep you signed in.
  • To score your decisions and show you your own patterns — the entire point of the product.
  • To compare your simulator discipline with your real-money discipline, if you uploaded trades.
  • To take payment, if you subscribe.

Uploading your real trades is optional and separate. You can use every other part of Cut It without it, and you can withdraw it at any time by deleting the data.

How long we keep it

  • Raw imported trades: 24 months from the day you upload them. After that they are collapsed into monthly statistics (how many trades, how often you honored your stop, how long you held winners versus losers) and the individual trades are deleted.
  • Derived statistics: kept while your account exists. They are what makes your engine work, and they contain no ticker, price, or timestamp.
  • Simulator decisions: kept while your account exists.
  • Inactive accounts: 24 months. If you don't sign in for two years we email you a warning, then delete everything 30 days later.
  • Deleted accounts: 30-day grace. When you delete your account it is deactivated immediately and permanently erased after 30 days. You can restore it within that window.

An honest caveat about deletion. Deleting removes your data from the live database. Encrypted database backups are retained for a rolling window for disaster recovery, so deleted rows may persist in those backups until they age out. Nobody reads backups in the normal course; they exist to restore the service if it breaks.

Who else touches your data

We use these providers. We do not sell your data, and we never will.

  • Vercel — hosting and serverless functions (United States)
  • Supabase — the database
  • Google — sign-in
  • Lemon Squeezy — payments and affiliate attribution
  • Resend — transactional email (e.g. the dormancy warning)

Your data is processed on servers outside Israel, including in the United States. We rely on written data-processing agreements with these providers.

Your rights

You can do all of this yourself, immediately, from your account page:

  • Export everything we hold, as a JSON file.
  • Delete your imported trades, or your whole account.

You may also ask us to correct data, to restrict or object to processing, or to complain to a supervisory authority — in Israel, the Privacy Protection Authority.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to the operator of the service. We hold no broker credentials and no payment card numbers — payments are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy.

Children

Cut It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this notice changes materially we will say so in the app before the change affects data already collected.
